It can be confusing to know what kind of help would best meet your needs.

For this reason I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation where we can briefly discuss the reasons for your seeking counselling or psychotherapy and the best format for this to take place.

I offer:

Counselling: this is generally short-term and tends to focus on a recent onset problem, such as a bereavement, a relationship breakdown, or some other life event.

Psychotherapy: this is more open-ended work, designed for more complex and deep-rooted difficulties, which may have built up over a long period of time, often from childhood. These difficulties may present themselves as a generalised feeling of anxiety, sadness or other. Chronic and difficult problems are often complex and have a long-standing nature; these generally require more time to disentangle and work through.

Parenting Consultations: this may involve practical advice on how to deal with problems that may come up when parenting or becoming a parent, or an exploration of your worries regarding your children or parenting.

Online Therapy through Skype: this is online therapy or parenting consultations for people who cannot attend face-to-face therapy (adults only).
